The Essentials

This is our minimalist list of what to pack for the Australian outback.

• Pyjamas – I usually wear a long sleeved t-shirt or a thermal and track accommodate pants in wintertime, and a t-shirt and daggy shorts in summer.

Toiletries & Medicines

Whilst most towns and roadhouses will stock toiletries if you run out, I'm assuming that y'all're going on a camping ground/4WDing trip and y'all won't be able to resupply.

Most outback roadhouses Practise stock the nuts we've listed below.

If you're travelling into Ancient communities, community stores/supermarkets also stock these items.

And earlier you ask, Yes, travellers are permitted to shop in Aboriginal community stores.

• Lip balm – you volition not believe how dry out your lips become on common cold winter's nights in the outback.

• Headlamp – we do non go anywhere without our headlamps.
